Richmond Rd Ridgecrest, California 93555
Directions to the event: Directions to the Desert Empire Fairgrounds: From the West/North: Take CA Hwy 14 to CA 178 East (Inyokern/Ridgecrest Turn off). Continue East until you must turn right on China Lake Blvd. Take China Lake Blvd south and turn left on Ridgecrest Blvd (Bank of America on corner). Turn right on Richmond Rd. (stoplight). The fairgrounds and parking lot will be on your left. From the East/South: Take Interstate 15 to US Hwy 395 and turn east at the first Ridgecrest exit (China Lake Blvd.). From China Lake Blvd turn right onto Bowman Road (Wal-Mart). Turn left onto Richmond Rd (there is a stone and rock vendor on the corner). The fairgrounds and parking lot will be on your right (after the RVs).
Event description: Greetings One and All and welcome to Naevehjem for our day of Fighting and Discovery. Discovery; because some of our Populous are lost, stranded and in grave danger. We are having a contest to discover the cleverest and strongest warriors to go and rescue them. Those that are the bravest will be richly rewarded for their valiant efforts and successful return with our people. There will be many fighting contests. There will also be survival contests and navigation contests. It would be nice if you could find your way back. Heavy weapons fighters, please be sure to bring your full gauntlets if you have them. Site opens at 8:00 am with lists opening soon thereafter. Court shall commence at their Excellencies convenience (which just so happens to fall about 10:00 am). The fighting will begin shortly after opening court. Site closes at 6:00 pm.
Site fee(s): The site fee is $7.00 for all SCA members over 12 years of age. The non-member surcharge is $5.00 for those over 12 years of age.

Merchant Information: Merchant space is available at no extra charge please contact the Event Steward for space.
Additional Information This is a dry site. There are no trash cans at the site – all trash must be carried out when the event is complete.
