Directions to the event:
Directions from the South: Take your favorite route to the 101 North. Exit Los Carneros Rd (Signs for Isla Vista) and turn left. Proceed until Los Carneros ends on El Colegio Rd. Turn left. Take El Colegio to Ocean Road and turn right. You will see a large parking structure on your left, and a parking lot further on. Find parking there and walk down the stairs to the lagoon to meet us. Event description:
Come, dear SCAdians to lovely Isles to fight, play, and feast in the name of the Bard of Avon. There will be lists for both armored combat and rapier. Rapier fighters will experience the Play within a Tournament; for the play is on wherein we’ll catch the conscience of the Don! And beware, for villains, villains, smiling, damned villains will be afoot with their games of treachery and assassination. There shall be a merry feast, with a bardic competition featuring short monologues from Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets, as well as other Elizabethan works. Less serious thespians can try their hand at Butchering Shakespeare, a game that turns his prose on its head. Come one and all; share our company and fair weather, play in our games, and sit at our table as we celebrate yet another year passed for the Shire of the Isles. All the Known World's a Stage - Come play a part with us!
