From the Crown Prints
Join us in the Shire for our Harvest Arts Festival. There will be lots to do - drop In classes in illumination, inkle weaving, and other gentle arts, a special discussion on Chivalry, the History and Use in our modern SCA and all combat related Chivalrous behaviors, an afternoon potluck geared towards 9th century Viking foods, with a special competition for Apples, Savory or Sweet. There is no kitchen facility, but electricity will be available. This is a DRY site. Bring your favorite snacks and any beverage you may want. The Shire will supply water and lemonade.
There are no merchants allowed, nor actual combat, but we have a nice collection of indoor games plus a special game of skill with a prize and regalia awarded for “Hammer of Thor” and a prize for “One way ticket to Valhalla”
Site: Buellton Community Rec Center, 301 Second Street, Buellton CA 93427.
Site Fee $5 adults, discounted to $3 for ages 6-15, under 5 are free. Add a $5 surcharge for non-member adults only.
