Also known as Hagar Hagarsson and Hagar the Bear. He was active in Lyondemere.

Death

Hagar passed away of natural causes in the mid 1990's.

Memories

Haggar's name suited him. He was huge and bearlike. I remember being surprised that his fighting kit showed so much unarmored area. His muscled arms were mostly bare, and his thighs were barely covered by a leather cingulum (skirt) decorated with brass lions. He fought in the lists of my first event, but took time to talk with several of us. Although ferocious in battle, he always treated new folks such as we were with a gentle courtesy. I only saw him a few times after that at various tournaments, but he always remained the friendly fighting bear I first met. ~ Eadwynne of Runedun
