O Dreiburgen, O Dreiburgen, How lovely is your music!
Let your voices ring this Yule as Dreiburgen invites you to join us for a musical gala! Ready your voices, tune your instruments, bring your best musical table settings, and finally bring some amazing food to share! As this year’s theme is music, there is no need for holiday decorations, unless you wish to demonstrate holiday themed music, but rather come show off your musical tastes in decorations, dinnerware, food, and amazing garb!
SCHEDULE:
- 3:00 Site opens
- 4:00 Opening Court (at Their Excellencies pleasure)
- 9:00 Closing Court (at Their Excellencies pleasure)
- 10:00 Site Closes
ACTIVITIES: Potluck: What is a feast without food! Bring your best dish to share. Additionally, we want to continue the tradition that you bring your best food, not the most food. We also ask that you label all ingredients so that food allergies may be avoided, and it is understood that due to medical conditions, there are people who do not participate in Potluck feasts.
Activities and contests on the day will include:
- Table decorating contest (judged on the theme “Music”)
- Dreiburgen Culinary championship (period food competition)
- Bard of Dreiburgen competition (judged on the theme “Music”)
- Dreiburgen Games championship
- Arts and Sciences Competition - The Canton of Gallavally is sponsoring a competition entitled “A time of Giving.” Bring a “musical gift” that your persona would have either given or received.
- Caroling!
- And more!
Please keep an eye out for further details regarding all of the day's activities. Musicians, if you would like to come and play background music, please reach out to the event stewards.
EVENT REGISTRATION: Adult Event Registration: $25. Adult Member Discount Event Registration: $15. Cash and checks will be accepted at gate. Make checks payable to “SCA,Inc/Barony of Dreiburgen”.
DIRECTIONS: 100 Cajon St., Redlands, CA 92373 Please note that parking is behind the building off of 4th Street.
