There will be many ways to share and show off your arts and sciences. There will be a People’s Choice arts competition. If you feel that you just want to display your arts, there will be plenty of space available for that. All artisans will be given a book for visitors to write comments about their projects. There will be two colors – one which is for people who want kind, gentle comments, the other for people who want frank, constructive commentary. This is a damp site, so the brewers will be able to share their products. Bards are encouraged to prepare their best pieces and enter the competition. If you do not want to enter the competition, you are still encouraged to present you stories, songs, and dramatic creations.
The Queen will choose her Arts and Sciences Champion from the arts and sciences projects presented at the event.
Dreiburgen will also be holding their Arts and Sciences Champion competition at the same time. There are four categories: Leatherwork – focused on construction, embroidery and documented to the Elizabethan Period. Culinary – you need to use wine as an ingredient, not intended as a brewing completion, and persona – come dressed in clothes of your persona and share the story of a real historical event that happened in your lifetime. You may enter only one category if you wish, but in order to compete for Arts and Sciences Champion you must enter at least three. Her Excellency will award a special recognition for the best incorporation of yellow roses.
The populace is encouraged to bring small tokens to show their appreciation of the efforts of the artisans of Caid. Lunch will be available for purchase. Schedule: Site opens at 8:00 AM Opening Court 9:30 (or their Majesties’ pleasure) Judging begins at 10:30 AM Lunch TBA – in the middle of the day Court 4:30 PM or at Her Majesty’s beckoning. Site closes at 7:00 PM
