Lady Colette is also known as Colette des Trouvères, Colette la trouvère, and Colette the Bard.

Persona

Colette was born in Normandy at the very end of the 14th century, the seventh daughter of a poor lord. Colette loved music and to read, and was especially fond of the songs of the trouveres, or courtly musicians. Lacking a dowery or any prospects, Colette faced a future of spinsterhood or life in the cloister. Instead, she took matters into her own hands, running off with a troupe of traveling musicians. Colette's new life, though never easy, is one of her own making. She writes songs and performs wherever the wind takes her.
