Bard of Caid 2023

Competitors

The competitors to become the 16th Bard of Caid were (in alphabetical order):

Five competitors participated in the first round.

Round 1

The first round, held at Festival of the Rose on August 19, 2023, asked competitors to perform a piece in the theme of the day, which was "For Honor, Love and Beauty." The winners were Baroness Róisin ni Brian and Lord Skallagrim Ulfhedinn with a tied score.

Round 2

Round 2 will be held at Dreiburgen Anniversary, and competitors will be asked to compose an original piece on-site using words provided that morning. The winner was Sadhbh inghean Duinn.

Round 3

Round 3 will be held at Calafia Winter Arts. Competitors will be asked to perform their best piece. The winner was Fino Di Giove.

Finals

At Twelfth Night 2024, each of the finalists will perform a period piece for the final round.
