St Corrigan’s Day
Canton of Gallavally
August 20, 2005
The Canton of Gallavally would like to invite the most wondrous populace of Caid to escape the heat of summer and come enjoy a cool day in the mountains of our fair Canton. Once again it is time to pay homage to our patron saint, and clear the mountains of those pesky gnomes that seem to be following Corrigan lately.
Schedule for the Day:
- 8:00 am – Site Opens
- 10:00 am – Opening court
Contests and games commence after opening court
Closing court at their Excellencies desire
- 6:00 pm – Site Closes
In honor of our patron St. Corrigan, we will be hosting a day of fun and games to include:
- Several Heavy Weapons scenarios
- St. Corrigan’s Course
- Hunkerhouser Tourney (both combat and non- combat)
- Best Gnome Home (bring your best representation of a gnome home )
- Best Homemade Gnome built on site (some supplies will be provided)
- Period bowling
- and yes… The Gnome Toss!
- There will be children’s activities, so bring the kids!
After lunch Master Gulliver Blackrune will be leading the pilgrimage to “St. Corrigan’s Fountain” to south our souls and bless us with sprinkling water.
Silent Auction: we will be holding a Silent Auction/Raffle to help with the high cost of the site. The Event Steward pleads with the gracious Gentles of Caid for donations of arts, crafts, SCA items, fabric, Promissories of service, etc.
