Thanks for all the hard work so far!--Kottr 00:36, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Natalya - do you remember the canton of Naess? was it in Orange County? I keep thinking it was, but my notes don't say --EowynA 00:40, 6 May 2008 (PDT)
Oh god. Do I remember Naess. Reams of hand-written letters in turquoise ink from Lady Faye of Ye Farther Glenne. Yep it was in the Fullerton area. The people who really remember are Gabrielle, Bevin and Conrad, and I have active email addresses for all three. Aeolwigg, who is active in Angels now, also remembers very clearly, I'm sure.
Update as of 10:34am EDT, Bevin referred us to Ximena & Arabella, and I can contact Arabella via Robear & Kristin but I'm guessing Gabrielle remembers Naess <g> -- Natalya
Thanks! I just wanted confirmation that it existed in the area now covered by Gyldenholt. (and I got turquoise inked letters on the BoD from Lady Faye, too).--EowynA 07:42, 6 May 2008 (PDT)
- Natalya, the names used for populace members must be the registered ones listed in the OP (or the SCA OandA). I have reverted Bevin's spelling to her registered name. I added an intro line of "Bevin prefers the spelling of Bevin Fraser of Stirling." I appreciate that many people like variations of their name, but we are going by a hard line of registered name. if they prefer a variation it needs to be put into the bio, not the page name. --Kottr 10:51, 14 May 2008 (PDT)
- Also the function you were trying to do is called a redirect. Basically to get a name of the page to redirect to another page you type #REDIRECT bracket bracket name of new page bracket bracket. I had to put it in text because it wanted to redirect the page.--Kottr 10:55, 14 May 2008 (PDT)
Sigh... I will ask Bevin to send yet ANOTHER letter to the CoH about her name. It's "Stirling" as in "Stirling" Castle. Has been since oh gosh let's see ... well long before any of us. <grin> I wasn't sure what you guys were using for redirect, so thanks for that. --Natalya
- Image Uploads now work thanks to the wonderful Lorenz. To upload an image go here. Please read our policy in regards to all media here. This is the last technical hurdle, please take a quick look at the site, since we are shortly going to release it to the public. Thanks! --Kolfinna 13:42, 28 May 2008 (PDT)

Corrections
- Only put the relevant parts of the populace template pages. If you don't have information, don't include the blank subheading.
- Don't link to people's pages outside their populace page. For example, on the Early Days of Caid: The Kingdom page you have a link to Patrice d'Cilla and also an outside page of [1]. The West Kingdom page should be linked from her populace page. That way if the link changes, we only need to update it in one spot.
- In the populace template, don't link to a photo. Upload one using the Special:Upload page.
- You need to use the person's registered name as the page name. If the person prefers another name, put it in the bio section. Please start referencing the OP more.
Thanks for all your contributions! --Kolfinna 23:17, 19 June 2008 (PDT)
Response to Corrections
- I put the entire template because I figured that there would be someone who has that information and it might elicit some new info (esp. about events and publications) that we didn't know about.
- I linked to Patrice d'Cilla because she lives in Caid (and is former seneschal of Dreiburgen). Although Andrew is in the Caidan OP, he doesn't live down here anymore so I didn't include a listing for him.
- Ahhh upload a picture. Doh. /bonking myself
- Thanks for the head's up on the names - one good thing is that if someone sees that their name isn't right, they can take steps to get the new name registered, assuming they can survive the gauntlet of the CoH's current rigid standards.
Thanks for your patience! -- Natalya 11:45, 20 June 2008 (EDT)
Update to Template
Thanks to User:Iulianna we now have default holder pictures for the populace pages. Please use the new code for any new populace pages you make, and update old populace pages when you have the time. Get the code here: Template talk:Populace --Kolfinna 19:49, 20 June 2008 (PDT)
Response to Template
I love the new template but would suggest that the Sanction part and Deceased part NOT be copied over as default. The Sanction only affects a mere handful of Caidans and is one of those red flags that could lead to all sorts of nastygrams. The deceased section reminds me... are we including an In Memoriam page on the wiki?
None of the subheaders should be copied over unless there is information to populate it. Only the template code at the top should be copied at all times. Memoriam I think is what you are looking for. --Kolfinna 10:43, 21 June 2008 (PDT)
I was also thinking that the wiki would be a GREAT place for the College of Scribes to get the word out -- link to the Scroll compendium and maybe list peeps that Scribes are looking for or who have scrolls to be picked up? -- Natalya 13:36, 21 June 2008 (EDT)
The scroll compendium is already linked to Scribal Arts & College of Scribes. The rest would be up to the Scribe Amarius. You can always suggest it to her. --Kolfinna 10:43, 21 June 2008 (PDT)
