Winter Weekend 2010

    • Thurs dinner - Master Jamal Damien Marcus Salad w/dressing, bread & butter, Roast Lamb, Poached Salmon, braised spinach or savory peas, glazed gingered baby carrots, mashed or baked potatoes, rice or bread pudding
    • Fri breakfast - Master Jamal Damien Marcus Oatmeal, bacon, sausage, eggs (to order), shredded potatoes, bread & butter, brown sugar, dried fruit, Orange juice
    • Fri lunch - Lady Blase d'Angelo Cevapcici - Grilled ground lamb and beef patties with onion, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Podvarak - Stewed sauerkraut, onions, pork sausage, ham hocks, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Blitva - Stewed Swiss Chard, potatoes, olive oil, salt and pepper. Frittata (Vegetarian Option) - Baked dish of eggs, Swiss cheese, milk, onions, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Italian bread
    • Fri dinner - Mistress Tetchubah of Greenlake Baked herbed chicken; Garlic mashed potatoes (and plain mashed for the garlic haters) - gravy?; Steamed veggies with cheese sauce (optional on the side for those who don't want cheese sauce); bread & butter; Salad; Dessert is tentatively chocolate cake (no frosting) with a brandied cherry compote and amaretto crème OR ice cream and the toppings.
    • Sat breakfast - Lady Mealla Caimbeul Oatmeal, Mix-ins: Brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon/sugar, maple syrup, warm fruit compote, Chocolate Chips; Scrambled eggs, batches with and without cheese. Bacon & sausage. Fruit muffins or coffee cake, orange juice
    • Sat lunch - Turkey pot pie with biscuit topping, green salad with dressings, and a hearty vegetable soup with sliced crusty bread and butter/margarine. And Pam’s fabulous cookies!!
    • Sat dinner - Lord Eirikr Mjoksiglandi Fire roasted Filet Mignon with Horseradish sauce, Grilled Tilapia, Mustard Cabbage - (includes Leeks and butter), Lentil Pottage, Apicius 5.2.3 (includes Leeks, fresh mint, fresh cilantro and spices),Tossed salad with Balsamic dressing, Bread/rolls with fresh churned butter, Dessert - TBD, probably berry compote with toasted oat topping and whipped cream, I can throw in a couple of Portobello mushrooms for the few people with an aversion to meat.
    • Sun breakfast - Sir Robear du Bois and Mistress Kristin Aelfhildr of Trondheim Baked French toast, oatmeal, chicken-herb sausage, applesauce, selection of fresh fruit (oranges & apples), And orange juice. We will make one pan of dairy free French toast.
    • Sun lunch - Lady Peregrine Rose Falconer High Noon Drifters

Enchilada Pie- Chicken or Meat depending on the cost of meat. Trimmings Salsa, Sour Cream, Cilantro, --Fiesta Salad-- possibly a soup as well. Sweet Treats

    • Sun dinner - Viscountess Lorissa du Griffin and Lord Jason ap Griffin Brisket, Potatoes -and we use everyone’s left over veggies and soup and toppings for the potatoes :) cake with frozen berries and Jason's whipped cream
    • Tea all days - Mistress Cristobal and her crew

The Barony of Calafia is proud to host Winter Weekend 2010 at the DeBenneville Pines Conference Center in the San Bernardino Mountains, 41750 W. Jenks Lake Road, Angeles Oaks, CA. The event starts Thursday, January 14, 2010, 5 PM and ends Monday January 18, 2010, 12 noon.

Since this site can only accommodate a limited number of persons, RESERVATIONS are required. Each phone call may reserve only one room's worth of accommodations (1 to 4 people). Families with more children may reserve up to the number of the immediate family. Please, only one reservation per call.

Event Information:

  • Reservations for Winter Weekend 2010 will open Sunday October 18th @ 12 noon PDT. You may contact the event steward after that time.
  • E-mail reservations will not be accepted.
  • This event will be starting on Thursday.
  • The cost for the four nights lodging and food is still being negotiated with the Camp. Prices will be published in the October Crown Prints.
