Dreiburgen Summer Arts Festival

July 17, 2004

The Barony of Dreiburgen welcomes the populace to join us on July 17, 2004 For our Summer Arts Festival. Our theme this year will be “Summer Sun.” This year we will be featuring 3 new competitions, plus our usual people’s choice and Baron’s favorite.

The first competition will be for the best use of the festival theme on any period object. You choose the medium; you decide how to represent the theme. The second competition will be for the best ‘object d’art submitted by artist with less than one year’s experience in a field entirely new to them. Finally, we will indulge in a purely sensual sensation by having a dessert competition. After judging, the entries will be available for sampling by the populace. So bring a lunch and enjoy a great dessert. (Entries should feed 8 people.) The Summer Arts Champion will be chosen from those who compete in all the three categories.

Best of all we will have an exciting selection of classes on art, history and SCA traditions.

Schedule for the Day:

  • 8:00am Site Opens
  • 10:00am Court commencing (approximately)
  • 4:00pm Site Closes
