THE ATENS ARE COMING!

(AND WE HAD BEST BE READY)

The giant to the East is stirring. The Aten hordes are gathering, their beady eyes cast covetous upon Caid’s fair lands, and rumors of War are rumbling throughout the kingdoms.

This is to put rumors to rest. The War is schedule for 13-14 October in Dreiburgen, at Glen Helen Regional Park, (site of Caid’s First Crown Tourney). At this time arts competitions are planned, for war points; there will be an arts and craft faire, a Tavern and plenty of glorious combat.

No, the Atens are not coming, but we shall not miss them.

DEMAND FOR WAR IS MET

Due to an unprecedented era of peace and delays in the mustering of the Aten and Western host, there will not be the Caid Atenveldt War II as originally planned for 13-14 October in Glen Helen Regional Park.

However, so battle-crazed are the war-dogs and brave knights of Caid that cries of “war!” are still resounding throughout the realm. Thus the First Caid Baronial War is schedule for 13-14 October in Glen Helen Regional Park, the Dreiburgen site of Caid’s First Crown Tourney and Last Octobers War.

At this time arts competitions are planned, as well as combat and target archery, an arts and craft faire, a Tavern and plenty of glorious combat.

October 1979

BARONIAL WAR

As no foreign host can be found to assail Caid’s borders, on 12,13, and 14 October XVI be held the Caidan Baronial War. This event shall transpire at Glen Helen Park in San Bernardino.

Tentative Itinerary

Friday:

• Sext (12 noon)…...site opens
• Compline (9pm)…Tavern opens
  

Saturday:

• Tierce (9am)-10…armour inspection
• 10:00…………….Court
• 11:00……………Battle-open Field with archery
• 12:30……………Fortification Battle
• 2:00……………..Third battle
• 3:00……………..Eternal battle (each man-at-arms will be given three lives)

Battle will also be joined on Sunday. Arts competitions and target archery will also be a part of this event.

There will be a session of the Children of the Silver Crescent as well.
