Mistress Helena Gabrielle the Fortunate, OP ([[Outlands]], October 26, 1996), Mistress Helena the Fortunate died in France, her chosen land. Helena started as a teen, in Caid, and later moved to The Outlands, where she held offices and autocrated and organized special events within events. She was cheery and bright. She was made premier of the Order of the Stag ([[Outlands]] kingdom service), a Mistress of the Pelican, and received other [http://wimble.outlandsheralds.org/individual_record.php?Letter=&PersonID=1260 awards for service] and for being an exemplary member of the group. After Helena left the Outlands, she read for a Master's Degree at York, and then worked as an archeologist and PhD student through Cardiff. She supervised a longterm dig, spoke at conferences, and appeared a few times on the TV show "Time Team." She  returned to al-Barran to explain how archeological discoveries and research can help us in the SCA.
