An annual Caidan war held over Memorial Day weekend.

History

The event was named for Potrero Regional Park, which was located by Baron Talanque of Calafia in 1985. The Park was first used by the SCA as the site of the "War on Poverty" in 1986, autocratted by Giles Hill of Sweetwater, with Cristobal degli Glicine che Mangia Uome and Elspeth ni Conchobhair o Ciarraighe as co-autocrats. The event proved so popular that Calafia has hosted 'wars' at the park each Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend until 2008. Beginning in 2009, Potrero Wars are held only over the Memorial Day weekend.
