Unto all lords and ladies, the war between the Kingdom of the West and the Kingdom of Caid will soon be upon us. Many events are planned, and will include; heavy weapons battles, archery, heavy weapons tournaments, rapier tournament, arts competitions, and a shanai tournament. For those interested in the arts the following categories will include liqueurs, war banners, and practical period footwear.
The site is Putney Ranch Camp, (address omitted) in North Fork with 87 acres of rolling hills with large pine and oak trees. There are showers, some cabins, a bardic area and potable water. Fire is allowed in pits, braziers or enclosed lanterns only. Please have a fire extinguisher for each fire. Use only cut wood, and it is advisable to bring your own.
A number of screened in cabins (half walls) will be available for rent on the West/Caid war site. The cost is $50 for the weekend or $35 for one night. Send an SASE with your reservation check before April 4. The cabins sleep six or more persons. The cots have thin mattresses, no bedding, no electricity. Cooking is not allowed inside the cabins.
No pets, and no horses on site.
The site fee is $12 for the weekend for members ($15 for non-members) or $10 for the day for members ($15 for non-members). The $25 merchant fee includes the site fee for one person. Checks should be made payable to S,C.A, Inc. Barony of Nordwache.
