Current Release Forms on file with the Caid Wiki
Release Forms Information
The Society requires us to collect release information for new media added to Compendium Caidis. To facilitate this:
- The right to upload media files to the wiki is restricted to a few editors. Users in the "commenters" group will not see an "Upload file" link in the left-side bar
- The Kingdom Webwright has set up a form where anyone can submit up to five files at a time with an electronic release to publish the images on this wiki. These files will go to the wiki editors for inclusion on the site. This form is at Media Submission Form. For users' convenience, a link to this resource is in the left-side bar labeled "Media Submission Form"
- Due to Society-wide changes in Media Policies, we are now required to obtain Model Releases, Photographer Releases and Creative Works Releases (when applicable). Please refer to the Society Release Forms FAQS and the Society Release Forms Letter for more information. The Media Submission form is currently being revised to reflect those changes. Until those changes are made please use the links below for the type of Release you need for the images you would like to submit to the Compendium Caidis. Once you have completed the form(s) you need, please send them as attachments to: :Kingdom Deputy for Releases and Wiki Administrator at releases@sca-caid.org, wiki@caid-commons.org

Model Release Form
- Society Model Release (Print Only) Form for subjects within a photograph to complete

Creative Works Release form
Modifications to Model Release Form Requirements
No Model's Release Form will be required for websites and any electronic media where the images can be removed or changed upon request under the following criteria: The photos are taken at a public place and in a public forum, including any SCA contest or competition, merchants' row, court, class, etc. where there is no expectation of privacy.
Excluded from this are:
-- private areas at public events including private encampments, private ceremonies, or any other activity where the participants deem it private. -- staged or portrait-style photographs of individuals (including photographs that may be cropped to make them appear portrait-style). -- photographs taken at any non-public venue. -- where the above statements are prohibited by local laws or regulations.
Disclaimer
This in no way impedes any person from asking for, and having, their image removed from the website or electronic media at any time. Model's Release Forms will continue to be required as specified for print media or any other media where the images cannot be removed upon request, and in any circumstance where the image does not meet the above criteria.
