Our Citidal
From Compendum Caidis

This was my Bard of Caid non-entry presented at Dreiburgen Anniversary 2023.
The contest was to create an entry onsite using the words: Citadel, Cerulean, and Crown
Because I printed the signs for the contest I had access to the words ahead of time and so couldn't enter the contest.
But the words wouldn't leave me alone so I wrote a poem with the three words. I read it onsite, but it wasn't an entry since it wasn't written on site.
Our Citidal
- The strength of Caid gathers nigh
- Forming a citadel mighty and high
- The strength is not the crowns
- In their cerulean gowns
- The strength is our dream that won't die
- We carry that dream in our hearts
- And show it in all of our arts:
- From combat to fiber,
- Our citadel thrives in the parks!
- From the Royals of the Cerulean Crowns
- To new folks wearing hand-me-downs
- We work together
- To make our dream better
- Me? I'm working on pronouns.
- Our dream's history is long
- Our citadel tall and strong
- We grow our dream
- And make it gleam
- When we bring new folks along
