- 13th Century Baltic from the Vidzeme region of Latvia: Born March 1215 in Riga. Lord Janis is married to Lady Avina Ramsey
Named Janis after is Paternal Great Grandfather who was known as a great warrior throughout the Baltics for battles against the Kievan Rus. He became known as "The Scarred" at 14 after a head wound that left him with a 11" scar that runs from ear to ear. Janis always wears two rings, his gold wedding band on the left, and his silver Namejs Ring.
