I can confirm first hand that Mistress Giesela had to be called out of the kitchen to be made a Laurel. She came out in the simple attire she was cooking in, and was obviously very warm from being in the kitchen. I think she felt somewhat awkward about being called to court in such a state, but frankly, that is how I best remember her, and remember her fondly. Although she seemed both pleased and gracious, she also seemed to be in a hurry to get back to the kitchen. She made lunches at many events, at what I think was called, "The Mobile Kitchen." As a young student back then I was very appreciative of her efforts at making good, filling food at an extremely reasonable price at those events. She always seemed happiest when serving others. ~[[Eadwynne of Runedun]]

~Eadwynne of Runedun
