The Shire of Isles, exporter of Fine Future Peers to the Kingdom and beyond!
Isles has a small difficulty, in that many folk find their beginning in the SCA while residing in that fair Shire and attending University there. When they graduate, they've spent 4 years honing their SCAdian Arts, and yet suddenly find that they cannot afford to stay in Isles, due to the rather pricey real estate in the area.
When such a person leaves, he or she becomes an "Ex-Isle".
The title is also occasionally given honorarily to folk who never quite lived in Isles, but play there often, or have at some point in the past.
If you hang around Caid for very long, you will probably know several. You might be one yourself! (In that case, please add yourself to the below list. Our oldest current Shire members are a decade old, and if you left before that, you may not be remembered).
