The Barony of Altavia and the Shire of Darach are pleased to announce an event for our times - the Altavia Equestrian Championship/ Darach Equestrian Championship/ Darach Anniversary/ Darach Pirate Tournament. Yes, it's four events for the price of one and this event will have something for everyone - inventive fighting scenarios, serious tournament combat, piratical amusements and contests, two separate equestrian tournament lists and serious fun for all.
We are thrilled to announce the return of the wildly popular Lunch Basket Auction! Whip up a basketful of tasty lunch treats and donate it to the auction. Then, come hungry and join the fierce bidding to try to win one of the lunch baskets for yourself! The now-traditional Pirate Plunder and Salvage Sale will be returning as well. Piratical and other treasures from all the Seven Seas can be had for a mere pittance, so bring your purse and be sure to nab something for yourself. Set up begins at 8:30 a.m. and the site closes at 6:00 p.m.
This Just In! Merchants Allowed!
The site owners have given us permission to have merchants at the event! This is marvelous news, so if you would like to merchant at this event, please go to the City of Thousand Oaks business website at http://www.toaks.org/government/depts/finance/business.asp to make sure you are in compliance with local laws and then contact the site autocrat to reserve your spot.
Arts and Sciences People's Choice
A People's Choice Arts and Sciences Display will also be featured at this event. Please bring your latest and greatest works to show off. You arrange for transport to site by 10am and pick up by end of Court. Whether you are entering or not, please be sure and look and vote on your favorites (voting supplies will be provided) there will be a prize for First as well as Second Place.

2) A little bit of documentation saying *what* your entry is, *where* you got your inspiration and *how* you made it and maybe what you learned from the experience never hurts

Costs
$5.00 for adult members, $2.00 for children 6-12. Children 5 and younger are guests of Darachshire. All non-members please add $3.00 non-member surcharge. Please make checks payable to "SCA, Inc./Shire of Darach."
Directions
Directions to 1350 Avenida de las Flores, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360
Take your favorite route to US-101 toward Thousand Oaks and then take the CA-23 freeway North. Take the Avenida de los Arboles exit left (eastbound) and continue east approximately 1/2 mile on Avenida de los Arboles under the freeway to Erbes Rd. Turn right and continue on Erbes South approximately 1/2 mile to Avenida de las Flores. Turn right and continue west approximately 1 mile until you see the arenas on your left. We are next to the Dog Park and Waverly Park, a picnic area. Enter on the dirt road past the Dog Park and then through the gate. Please park past the arena or where you are directed.
