Dafydd y Twr Gwyn
Persona
Originally a Benedictine eremitic monk of Cymric and Scandinavian parentage. Went on far and away pilgrimages to the Holy Land, eastern Europe and the far north in search of answers. He was defrocked for heretical thinking. Now living a quiet life in the area of Wales as a merchant/philosopher and herbalist. The well educated ex-monk still takes the cloth on occasions of seclusion and meditation. Too far out and small for Rome to bother much with, his "survaillance" is mostly left to the local monastaries.
