Gyldenholt Barons’ Feast 2014
Event Staff
Stewards: Giuseppe Francesco da Borgia and Giles Hill
Menu
Beginning in the early hours (9:00am), we will sample several flavors of German Gebochons (14th century fried pastries).
For our mid-morning “second breakfast”, we will dine on tarts of bacon and leeks, and for the vegetarians in the group, mushrooms and leaks. Also, as a mid-morning snack, we will be serving up a new addition from last year – fried devilled eggs.
For lunch, beef-barley soup and vegetarian Moorish gourd soups will be served with bread and butter and salad.
Mid-afternoon, we will be dining on various styles of period cheeses, charcuterie, artisanal breads, and fruits; along with wonderful drink syrups and ice.
For dinner, we will partake of smoked pork loin, mustard, and roast root vegetables
And finally, for dessert, we will enjoy apricot-date-almond tarts.
