This was my Bard of Caid non-entry presented at Dreiburgen Anniversary 2023.

The contest was to create an entry onsite using the words: Citadel, Cerulean, and Crown

Because I printed the signs for the contest I had access to the words ahead of time and so couldn't enter the contest.

But the words wouldn't leave me alone so I wrote a poem with the three words. I read it onsite, but it wasn't an entry since it wasn't written on site.

Our Citidal

The strength of Caid gathers nigh
Forming a citadel mighty and high
The strength is not the crowns
In their cerulean gowns
The strength is our dream that won't die
We carry that dream in our hearts
And show it in all of our arts:
From combat to fiber,
Our citadel thrives in the parks!
From the Royals of the Cerulean Crowns
To new folks wearing hand-me-downs
We work together
To make our dream better
Me? I'm working on pronouns.
Our dream's history is long
Our citadel tall and strong
We grow our dream
And make it gleam
When we bring new folks along
