Dreiburgen Anniversary is our Ruby Anniversary; the Barony is Forty this year. The theme will be Rubies. There will be an Armored Combat Tournament and a Rapier Tournament. There will a People’s Choice Arts Competition for works with a Ruby Slippers theme in any medium. The Raffle is expected to be with a Ruby Theme, and we expect a donational lunch. We are hoping for a Ruby Bell finding competition for children and a decorate-your-own Ruby Slipper activity for children of all ages. The champions of Dreiburgen and their ladies will receive Ruby themed prizes and we hope to recognize all prior Barons and Baronesses of Dreiburgen.

Additional Information: Ruby themed events include the following: Ruby Slipper Arts Competition – Arts in any medium with a Ruby Slipper theme. People's choice. Ruby Banners - Best use of Ruby (gules) in heraldic display. The Bigger the better. Make Your Own Ruby Slippers – bring your old shoes we will have Ruby (red) fabric/leather paint and Ruby (red) sequins and glue. Warning, shoes must dry twice before wearing, once for paint, once for glue. Warning, these shoes will never be the same. Adult and Youth categories. Ruby Ring(ers) - adult and child sized Ruby (red) bells in a scavenger/treasure hunt. The one who finds the most bells wins. Adult and Youth categories. Ruby Raffle – Donate your Ruby (red) stuff, new and old, red boxes, red leather, red dishes, red playthings . . . red (table) linens? Keep it clean! Red Letter Site Tokens - Red leather circles, stamped with a D on a red cord. Ruby Tournaments - all prizes to have a ruby or red theme. Heavy Weapons Tournament Rapier Tournament Ruby Armour – best use of Ruby (red) in one’s armour. Ruby Donational Luncheon - red velvet and other red foods. Ruby Recognition – Recognition of all present and former Barons and Baronesses We are also considering a dance event of some sort to break in those slippers.
