Þorbjorn Ívarsson (mundane name Norm Nelson) has been a member of the Society in the Kingdom of Caid since 2013. He resides in the Shire of the Isles. He is married to Kong Lian (Linda Nelson) and their children Julian Þorbjornsson and Anna Þorbjornsdottir also play in the Society in the West Kingdom Shire of Cloondara and in Angels, respectively.

Persona
Þorbjorn Ívarsson is a 10th century Scandinavian trader, taking amber and furs to the East in exchange for silver and occasionally other items such as silks, honey, or the occasional Chinese/Mongolian lady. He is nominally pagan but is an admirer of the 9th Century Christian missionary St. Ansgar, Archbishop of Hamburg. He has travelled widely but not as far as Constantinople. He spends up to two months at sea each year on mysterious errands.
