Persona
Born third son in a family of minor nobility. His father ran a Mill in the black forests of Bremen. Began a thriving homestead and grew the region. His elder brother having been sent to join the crusades in his father's stead. His next older brother to the church. His lot was destined to remain at home and handle familial affairs.
Learning to write and count early on and taught to work hard and help with upkeep and maintenance as well as managing his father's business as his age and body deteriorated. He was not permitted to learn the way of the sword at a young age in fear of him getting pulled into service. He was permitted to take charge of the caravans that shipped lumber around the regions and as far as Bremenhaven.
He learned from his father the principles of combat and to avoid it unless necessary. His mother raised him in courtly manners and chivalric virtues. He learned from the guards thAat they served with his father in the last war and they were loyal to him and protective of his son. So they were loyal by proxy. on the long roads they secretly taught him to use the variety of weapons they employed in case of emergency. He learned well enough and fortunately never had a use for said knowledge.
After one long awaited journey they all came back from a delivery to the coastal town and found the Homestead burned to cinders. True to his obligations he paid the guards and and release them of their bonded contract to his family. The caravan guards offered to help scour the area for any remaining survivors and find anything of value when none were found, helped bury any remains. They invited him to join the troupe and find employment elsewhere. to help him try and recover his losses.
He would eventually travel the lands and make his way to different campaigns as caravan guard, mercenary, and bodyguard to higher lords from different lands and as far as the desert lands of Araby. Eventually making his way to the lands of Altavia wherein he resided between jobs and made for a successful career. Invited to join Legion and contributed to many battles between kingdoms. Fighting both for and against his own as bids deemed worthy.
Eventually saw fit to contribute and give back to his newly found home which had welcomed him indiscriminately and offered his services to the Local Barony serving as as guard still as mercenary to Legion. His strength, skill, and wit saw him quickly promoted to Second-Lieutenant of the Guard and Baronial Deputy Marshal. Shortly thereafter he went on to meet Amabel during training exercises. They grew closer together and as years went on he would enter into a courtship contract with her.
When it came time to renew his contract, he was asked to update his contract to serve as Lieutenant of the Guard and Baronial Marshall while within the boundaries of Altavia. With his new found love they'd build and create art together for the barony. Moving in to Runnymede Manor to make a life together.
As time went on he would take up contracts with other baronies and eventually even kings and queens. Further building his renown in this way and getting more offers for his unit. Legion eventually took a vote and decided promote him to Captain and/or Condottieri for the unit. "He dun good wiv da pointy 'ats folk."
Years later he would be asked to further serve the barony, expiring his contract and taking one up with the Kingdom of Caid to serve as Baron of Altavia. Where he presides to this day.
He eventually terminated his courtship contract with his beloved and entered into a new legal domestic partnership with her as his Wife. Together they serve, rule, march out, and fight together as the King and Queen decide, with Legion in Tow, backing him up. Sharing his bounties with the king and queen as requested.
Motto: "Here to serve... or Sever as needed."
