*This was a stroke of brilliance. Dreiburgen Summer is HOT. So why not do an Arts friendly event in an air conditioned building? Not only was it successful as events go, but they really gave a shot in the arm to the progression of Art and Sciences in [[Dreiburgen]] and how Dreiburgen was seen outside our borders. Our artisans and craftsmen finally had a venue that was visible to many outside the Barony. Rapier, which was a new thing in the Kingdom, was eventually added as well and I think the event in many ways was instrumental in making the art of Rapier acceptable in the Kingdom (there was a lot of controversy at the time). At some point it became the “Summer Arts and Sciences Academia and Gentles’ Prize Tourney” with a Baron’s and Baroness Prize Competition.
