*A branch's registered name in the SCA Armorial does not automatically change its branch designator (Canton, Shire, etc) based on a legal change in status. - A branch's registered name in the SCA Armorial does not automatically change its branch designator (Canton, Shire, etc) based on a legal change in status. In 2004-5, the shire requested that change, based on some proof that the change had happened previously, and the College of Arms agreed.--Lachlan 22:21, 11 December 2008 (PST)
