Highlights

  • A day of dance classes and an evening of dance revelry

From the Crown Prints

Don't miss the first Event of the New Year, The Best Event of the New Year, the only Event of the New Year (well...so far), Dance Collegium, Saturday, January 5, 1991 hosted by the Barony of Lyondemere. The site will be University Christian Church, 5831 West Centinela Avenue in Los Angeles.

The day will feature extensive instruction in many areas of period dance. (And just maybe a few non-period.) Registration will open at 8am (be there for the best class selections.) Classes will run from 9:00 to 5:30 (be there at 8:00), with a short lunch break--where food will be available to purchase. Following a dinner break, we will reconvene for the Revel at 7pm to dance all the dances we have learned to the tune of continual live music!.

Classes to be taught will include Ethnic, Italian, Court and Country Dance, etiquette, musicianship and music classes. One day and your feet will be sore. One day and your feet will never want to dance again, but you will, and you know how. (We hope.) We've assembled an eclectic collection of eccentric dance teachers to instruct you in how they do it and how you can do it too. To find out what it is, you'll have to be there or be uninformed. (But then your feet won't be sore).

The price for all the classes you wish to sign up for (well...up to a maximum of five,) and the Revel is a measly $8.00. For classes only (a more measly (miserly $6.00. For the Revel only $3.50 (Cheap at half the price.) Please send your registration form and check (Payable to SCA, Inc. dba Barony of Lyondemere to Lord Caradoc (I will accept any type of payment but live chickens.)

Co-Autocrats: Lord Caradoc Danyllson of Botley Grange and Lady Aliskye MacKyven Raizel
