Competitors
The competitors to become the 16th Bard of Caid were (in alphabetical order):

- Lord Skallagrim Ulfhedinn
- Baroness Tyne MacPhersone
Five competitors participated in the first round.
Round 1
The first round, held at Festival of the Rose on August 31, 2019, asked competitors to perform a piece in the theme of the day, which was "For Honor, Love and Beauty." The winners were Baroness Róisin ni Brian and Lord Skallagrim Ulfhedinn with a tied score.
Round 2
Round 2 will be held at Dreiburgen Anniversary, and competitors will be asked to compose an original piece on-site using words provided that morning.
Round 3
Round 3 will be held at Calafia Winter Arts. Format TBD
Finals
At Twelfth Night 2024, each of the finalists will perform a piece of their choice for the final round.
