From Arianyn II Regina

Unto the Populace of CAID, Greetings.

I would like to take this time to bublicaly thank all of you who made the most recent Queen's Arts Reception a most enjoyable day. There were those who worked hard all day - Duchess Neptha of Thebes, Mistress Elinore Windemere of the Moors. Duchess Diana de Savigny, Lady Merin Trefon Shazirr Aela Aerearone]], and many others, including those who contributed refreshments, time and displays and entertainment. All of these people deserve many thanks for their efforts made the day run smoothly and enoyably for all.

Also worth mention were the many performers, both for the Pentathlon competitions and for my pleasure. It was indeed a pleasure to be entertained by such proficient and wonderful artists as were present. The level of arts in CAID has improved by leaps and bounds, and it makes me proud to be your patron and Queen. Also interesting were the tow Calafian fighting groups that performed their "theme" songs. I especially appreciated their enthusiasm. Between the two, however, I believe Drafn managed to achieve their goal. I will think twice before asking for more that a fighting demonstration from that group! Sorry, Abbey, but by comparison you were too good to discourage me!

As the evening approached, out came the many masques made for the Masqued Ball. Impressively creative, they ranged from the fanciful to the frightening. And though it was difficult, judging the poetry and masque contest was fun. I am pleased that CAID has such fine poets, and flattered at their efforts in my behalf.

I would especially like to thank Sir AEthelred the Jute and Lord Yar Mohamid Gemazi Memo Hazara Qan for their kindness and strength of arm, as they carried my chair (with me in it) to our waiting chariot at the end of a long day. Once again, I thank you all for a very pleasant and successful reception.
