Tournaments are generally one-day events. They are core events for the SCA and usually involve competition in one or more combat forms such as Armored Combat, Rapier, Archery, or others. They may also involve Arts competitions, and there are events devoted solely to Arts & Sciences.
There is usually an Opening Court and a Closing Court at a Tournament. There are also events devoted to holding Court where more extensive or elaborate activities occur.
They are frequently followed by a Revel the same day.
