Born in Iolcus in 1235 BC, Diomedes was raised in an aristocracic family. In his twentieth year, he accidentally killed his friend Echion as they competed in the discus-throw. Cursed by Echion's father and driven half-mad, Diomedes made the journey to Delphi to consult the Oracle, hoping to pacify the Erinnyes (Furies). When he asked the Pythoness what he must do, he was instructed to travel to Mycenae and be purified by Agamemnon; thereafter to fight for the Mycenaean king until he and his brother, Menelaus razed Ilium and Helen was taken back to Sparta. Lord Diomedes of Pthia.
Persona
Born in Iolcus in 1235 BC, Diomedes was raised in an aristocracic family. In his twentieth year, he accidentally killed his friend Echion as they competed in the discus-throw. Cursed by Echion's father and driven half-mad, Diomedes made the journey to Delphi to consult the Oracle, hoping to pacify the Erinnyes (Furies).
