TO all that these Presents may come, Greeting!

I'm Andrew MacIan of Blackthorne, a long-time West/Caid resident of the Barony of Altavia, with occasional breaks to reside in Atenveldt, Calontir and Ansteorra (but NOT the ISS {sigh}) due to consulting engagements. I've been a member of the SCA (again, mostly in spirit) since Caid was a Principality of the West; I was first authorized to fight by King Gregory I.

I have been honored by the love and with the wedded bliss of Lady Karin von Schatten for the last 32 years in total. I recall that the day we were married, the heavens opened with the third day of torrential rain.

Mundanely, I'm a math and physics person. Unless now completely obliterated, some of my best work is part of the atmosphere of Jupiter, as I was a member of the team that rebuilt and launched the post-Challenger version of the Galileo package. I also have experience with various military systems as well as those used to design, run and analyze clinical trials.
