For this Sapphire Anniversary, we’re celebrating heraldic display in all its forms. "Lyondemere Anniversary & Investiture"

WHERE: Calle Mayor Middle School, 4800 Calle Mayor, Torrance CA 90505
The Barony of Lyondemere is pleased to host the celebration of our 45th Anniversary and the investiture of our new Baron and Baroness! For this Sapphire Anniversary, we’re celebrating heraldic display in all its forms. Come ready to display your heraldry, whether with banners and standards, on a list shield or your fighting shield, or even simply wearing your own livery colors or those of your household or territory.
SCHEDULE: 8am - Site Opens 10am - Opening Court, or at their Excellencys’ pleasure 4pm - Closing Court, or at their Excellencys’ pleasure 5pm - Site Closes COMPETITIONS & TOURNAMENTS: The Barony will be choosing its champions in many different disciplines, including Armored Combat, Rapier, Archery, Crossbow, and Thrown Weapons, as well as Arts & Science, and Bardic. There will be a competition for the best display of heraldry, however you envision it, be it standards or banners, clothing in your livery colors or that of your household or territory, on your fighting shield or tabard, or in any form you can imagine. Keep your eyes open for future announcements with details on the competitions and other activities! Children 16 and under are guests of the Barony. Please bring cash or make checks payable to “SCA, Inc./ Barony of Lyondemere.” SITE INFORMATION: Pavilions and day shades are welcome. Please bring every banner you have and let them fly! Parking will be available onsite; however, please do not get your vehicle stuck in the grass when unloading.
