1. Service without expectation of reward.
2. Kindness to those who most need it.
3. Chivalry even to those who least deserve it.
4. Courage in the face of adversity even if the cause is not your own.
5. Egalitarian spirit and even-handed leadership.
6. Loyalty so far as justice and honor allow.
7. Having martial prowess with a willingness both to teach and to learn and to win or to lose with good heart.
