THLady Khalida al-Khansa'

Khalida al-Khansa is the daughter of a seafaring merchant. She travelled frequently with him and the rest of the family from the British Isles to Italy and Egypt. However, a shipwreck killed all but Khalida, who washed ashore in North Africa. At first, taken in by a Bedouin tribe, she was eventually captured and sold into slavery. Sold to the household of Duchess Faizeh al-Zarqa, she is responsible for running the household and watching over the Rose.

Khalida is currently the protegee of Dame Ismay of Giggleswick and the former foster of Duchess Mora.

Khalida's interests are in Persian dance, spinning, weaving, dying, illumination, research, anything coffee related and everything that pertains to the comfort of friends and kin.

Khalida lives in Persia in the 900s although can be seen every once in awhile in Viking.

She is fought for by THL (elevated to Knight 2014, Treasure Chest by Conrad II and A'isha) Halldorr Thorhallson
