Duchess Faizah al-Zarqa prefers the alternative transliteration "Faizeh al-Zarqa". Duchess Faizeh has been in the SCA since 2000 with her husband Sir Andrew Baird. She is the Lady of the household Kabila al-Raqs B’Saif, and it is her goal to turn everyone to the Sparkly Side and become Central Asian. She derives a great amount of joy out of learning period styles of Islamic and Central Asian dance, and sharing her knowledge with others. She is Apprenticed to Mistress Jadi. Her Champion is Duke Edric Aaron Hartwood.
Persona
Faizeh is a 16th Century Safavid Persian dancer. However, she has an uncanny ability to travel through time and space and sometimes finds herself appearing as a Mughal Indian, an Ottoman, or a Mongol.
