The Price of Steel

They no Dishonour do,

who without Dishonour die.

Warriors deeds in blood are writ,

in blood and blood again,

and bloody deeds must needs commit,

in seeking out their Fame.

Honour guides their daring hearts,

yet weakness has no place,

while Mercy tempers deadly arts,

Strength brings no disgrace.

They no Dishonour do,

who without Dishonour die.

Boldly then take up thy Sword,

and march you to the fray,

thy Mind and Steel both in accord,

shrink not from War’s display.

Deal thy blows and wield thy Blade,

perforce do all you might,

this Course begun it must be stayed,

for Mars demands his rights.

They no Dishonour do,

who without dishonour die,

and those who held them in their Hearts,

their Mem’ries Glorify.
