So one of the things we talk about all the time with the populace pages is that we are not recreating the order of precedence. But I'm starting to see a number of event pages with full award listings... is that not the same thing? I think we need to discuss this more... --Kolfinna 15:32, 1 April 2009 (PDT)
- Well... not exactly. A person's OP entry changes, but the awards given at a certain event never will. Also, an OP listing on an individual's page glorifies one, listing several awards at an event glorifies several. I also think it is interesting to see when somebody was active, and inclusion in an event article helps with that (I was surprised to see one particular name present in the 1970's and in the 2000's). But really, it comes down to, "How do I say Kate's Crescent was an 'event highlight' but William's Award of Arms was not?" Is it precedence? Where's the line? Indeed, as I'd originally written it, I'd omitted the AoA recipients because I know, at that stage, most people's SCA names are "in flux". But then I added them in, not wanting to slight them.--Lachlan 15:45, 1 April 2009 (PDT)
- DOH! Thanks for removing erroneous award listings, Kolfinna.--Lachlan 16:30, 1 April 2009 (PDT)
