13th Century Celtic-Scandinavian (Scottish-Norwegian): Born March 1276 on the Isle of Skye in Northern Scotland once under the control of Norway. His father was a Scotsman who fought at the battle of Largs and his mother a Norwegian woman who’s family had moved to the isles under the rule of Olave the Red of Norway. Later in his 20’s Malcolm traveled south to aid in the Scottish rebellion and in 1298 fought in the Battle of Falkirk. Shortly after Malcolm met and married Avina Ramsey. Malcolm continued to fight for Scottish independence, with his final battle being the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 serving under Robert the Bruce. Malcolm then returned home to his beloved Avina and became a fisherman.
