I answer the call of the land of Caid:
gloriously bound by mountain and sea.
Joyous are the people of this fruitful realm
Governed by the good King Edric and Queen Faizeh and their deputies
In melodious accord running as a river throughout the provinces
To the call comes the gathering
a gathering of the knights of Caid
and the fair consorts of the knights
Mine own sweet Kara
Like a Viking cat is mo chara
stands among the roses of Caid
a lily in their noble field -
A noble field has the land of Caid
on which risks the twice-died death
Those who would be heir to Edric of Caid
To this my sword sings
five chants of great striving
before yielding to the cunning count of Sven Orfhendur
and the call of the beauteous Caid -
Service to her has conquered me.
I, Patrick, have bent all for the call.
I bend my knee to the Throne of Caid.
