His heart was bound by honor

Baron Beorn of the Northern Sea
fallen in Fall Crown Tourney, A.S. XLII

His heart was bound by honor,
A kingdom to be won,
His mighty arm was ready
The quest for Crown begun.

An axe entwined by roses
Cause bardic baron strife;
An eagle’s striking talons
Removed his second life.

A ring upon his finger,
His sword upon his breast,
His longboat pointed seaward,
His handsome brow at rest.

Toward a distant island,
A’girt by silver strand,
A castle wrought of marble
Atop on em’rald land.

Upon the beach he landed
And rose from quiet sleep
He walked as if in dreaming
Drawn toward the marble keep.

Within the shining castle,
The sounds of laughter clear;
Restored to life, he sojourns
With those whom he holds dear.
