Methius le Vaux began participating in the Society during the riegn of Ivan the Illustrated andCiar Lasse MacGregor in the year AS XXXIII, 2000 CE. He was introduced to the Society through his wife Julianna Vaux and began his fighting carerr in the Gryphon Lance of Dun Tyr, under the teachings of Lord Pedar Jenson. Lord Pedar left Dun Tyr and Methius felt obligated to follow. The two along, with a few others created Clan Gryphon of Calafia as a household and warband. After a few years the Gryphons became perplexed that they could not form a force on the field and decided to build something that would give them staying power in the Kingdoms armies. In the year of the Reign of Dietrich III and Adriana II, AS XL (2005) at Great Westren War, the warriors of Clan Gryphon and other allies walked out on the field for the first time as Hopistallers of St. John of Caid. During that reign Methius held the position of Gonfannier, the war commander of the HoCs. Methius continues to fight with his brothers in the Hospitallers and as a Riddarisvien of Sir Halfdan Haraldson.
