I would like to thank all the Marshals-in-training on Saturday who ran ends when they were not shooting, there by working on becoming full Marshals, also thanks to my deputy Henry Dumas. Thank you to the Archers who came to compete despite the heat. And lastly, Thanks to Baroness Amabel Radleigh who took the range (after her last loss) for rounds 5 through 8 of the Open Division and the finals (3 rounds) of the Period Division. Last years Period Division Champion was not able to make it to War (prior commitment) to run that competition.
I would like to thank the two archers from An Tir who came out Sunday and helped with the Crossbow Championship. THL Archos Dearbhail ingean ui Dhonnchaidh, who showed up and volunteered to run the tournament and (her husband) THL John de Percy who offered to shoot all the bye rounds. They were a pleasure to get to know and asked for a scorecard to take back to An Tir because they liked the format of the tournament. Last years Crossbow Division Champion was not able to make it to War (death in the SCA family) to run that competition. Romy of Monserrat ranked up in Period Division, also Henry Dumas & Geral de Riera ranked up in Crossbow Division.
I would like to thank Mistress Cecilia Medici for taking over for last
years Thrown Weapons Winner who also could not make it to War and run that portion of the Open.
