Lady Rekon of Saaremaa (formerly named Rekon tulema Kuresaare) joined the SCA in the summer of 2007, after attending a St. Corrigan's Day event in Gallavally. She participates in archery, lapidary work and other forms of jewelry-making, costuming, brewing, pewter casting, making beads, making bows (usually very, very tiny ones) and all sorts of other interesting things.
Persona
Rekon is from the area now known as Estonia, during the pre-Christian era, prior to the 13th century. Since the Maahravas (as they called themselves before being named the Eistlanders by the Vikings) generally cremated their dead, did not read or write, and left very few representations of humans, the reconstruction of what she might have worn, done, and believed has been an interesting challenge.
