Persona

Lord Vorst was awarded the title of “Lord” on the field by their majesties at GWW 2024.

Lord Vorst comes from a humble background. Having little money, he hired himself out to different ship crews, which is where he first learned to use a sword.

He would often play his drum and sing shanties while at sea to help the crew keep time, or just to lift spirits.

One night, while at a dockside Tavern, there was a mischievous looking fellow that kept playing against people at a board game Vorst had not seen before. One by one, different foes fell to the man on this tabletop battlefield.

Vorst had always been a quick study of games and strategy, so decided to try his luck. The game was the closest one that had been played that night, but Vorst eventually lost to the stranger. They shook hands and introduced themselves. That was the first time, of many, that Vorst played chess against the Captain of the Sea Beggars, Jarjich Van Den Helder.

Vorst joined the crew of The Golden Fox, and in short time, was inducted as a full member of The Sea Beggars fighting unit.

His time with the Beggars has improved both his fighting skills, and his bardic abilities. He has found his home alongside the other Beggars.

His friends know that his love for fighting will keep him on the battlefield for hours, with a huge smile behind his mask. If you ever want to hear Vorst giggle or shout with glee, just watch him fight for a bit.
