Earning the Title of Dreiburgen Long Ranger

  • Qualifications
  • A. No warm-up rounds may be loosed for this event.
  • B. 6 arrows/bolts maximum per end.
  • C. At 30 yards, 4 out of 6 arrows must hit within the 18-inch metal ring of the wreath.
  • D. At 20 yards, 5 out of 6 arrows must hit within the 18-inch metal ring of the wreath.
  • E. At 40 yards, 3 out of 6 arrows must hit within the 18-inch metal ring of the wreath.
  • F. At 50 yards, 3 out of 6 arrows must hit within the 22-inch metal ring of the wreath.

(Crossbows-A 40 yards , 3 out of 6 bolts must hit the 12-inch metal ring of the wreath.)

  • G. Each end must be successfully completed in succession in order to qualify for this order.
  • H. Crossbows, all shooting must be done from a standing position.
  • I. Period Style Equipment, Bows may not have an arrow shelf. There may be a small built up arrow ledge out of leather no more than a ¼ inch off of the bow. All arrows must be self-knocking.

Needed Equipment

  • A. Three 18-inch metal ring
  • B. One 22-inch metal ring
  • C. One 12-inch metal ring

(The metal hoops from old drum heads with the heads cut away, work well).

  • D. Eight foot silk leaf strands. Wrap 2 strands on each metal ring.
